Short answerIndian citizens need a visa to visit Egypt. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

What you need
  • Approved Egypt e-Visa, obtained in advance online via the Egypt e-Visa Portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) — single-entry USD 30 or multiple-entry USD 65
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival
  • Printed copy of the approved e-Visa
  • Travel itinerary and accommodation details
Good to know
India is on the Egypt e-Visa Portal's list of nationalities eligible to apply for an e-Visa (checked 2026-10-05). The e-Visa is a visa applied for online in advance, so it's modelled as visa_required, the same as the other e-Visa rows for Egypt. No on-arrival option for Indian passports was found on a primary source. Egypt's portal does not state the permitted stay, so no day count is shown. (Corrected 2026-10-05: the row previously showed eta_required with an unsourced fixed 30-day stay.)

Is your passport valid long enough?

The rule: Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival

These dates stay in your browser. They aren't saved or sent anywhere. Six months from arrival, or after you leave? How the rules compare
