Short answerIndian citizens need an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) before travelling to Taiwan. Up to 30 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 30 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of entry
  • Approved online ROC Travel Authorization Certificate (TWAC-type e-authorization), applied for in advance at boca.gov.tw
  • Confirmed return/onward ticket
Good to know
"Nationals of Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam can apply online for an ROC Travel Authorization Certificate." The approved certificate is valid 90 days with multiple entries allowed within that window; each stay is capped at 30 days from the day after arrival. This is a distinct, pre-approval mechanism from the passport-only visa-exempt list, closer to an ETA than a full visa.

Is your passport valid long enough?

The rule: Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of entry

These dates stay in your browser. They aren't saved or sent anywhere. Six months from arrival, or after you leave? How the rules compare
