Short answerIndian citizens need a visa to visit Israel. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

How long you can stay
Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • B/2 tourist visa issued before travel (eVisa-B2 online or via an Israeli consulate); handling fee 105 NIS for eVisa-B2, non-refundable
  • Passport/travel document valid for at least the period of the visa and no less than the departure date from Israel
  • Recent passport photo (white background)
  • Round-trip tickets
  • Health insurance valid in Israel for the whole visit
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking, or a signed host letter with full address, phone number and ID number)
  • Proof of funds (e.g. bank statements for the last three months)
Good to know
India is not visa-exempt for Israel: the official ETA-IL eligibility checker, run on 2026-10-10 for a India regular passport with purpose 'Visit (Tourism)', returned 'Not Eligible — you cannot apply for an ETA-IL. You may need to apply for a visa' (checker country data: NEED_PERMIT=1). A B/2 visitor visa is for tourism, medical tourism, business meetings or short non-academic study; no work. PIBA: the B/2 'usually grants single entry and is valid for three months from the day it's granted'; on the eVisa-B2 page, validity is 'up to 90 days according the consul's decision' and duration 'up to 90 days, determined by Border Control, upon arrival'. Some applicants may be asked to attend the nearest Israeli consulate. A visa does not guarantee entry. Since 25/06/2025 PIBA runs an eVisa-B2 pilot: 'Indian and Sri Lankan passport holders residing in India and Sri Lanka can now apply for a B2 visa directly on the official website' (israel-entry.piba.gov.il). It is still a discretionary visa, not an automatic authorisation, so it is modelled as visa_required.
