Short answerIndian citizens can visit Qatar without a visa. Up to 30 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 30 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid for at least 3 months on arrival (MOI). Note: GOV.UK, Auswärtiges Amt, France Diplomatie, Canada and NZ advise at least 6 months — carry 6 months to be safe with airlines
  • Confirmed round-trip ticket
  • Confirmed hotel reservation made through www.discoverqatar.qa ONLY — bookings from other sites are not accepted
  • Health insurance from an insurance company accredited by Qatar's Ministry of Public Health (MOI lists it as a condition of the on-arrival visa; GOV.UK/Auswärtiges Amt describe it as mandatory for stays over 30 days)
Good to know
Qatar MOI page 'Free on-Arrival Tourist Visa for a maximum of (30) days (Pakistani, Indian and Thai nationalities)': 'A free on-arrival tourist visa is granted to Pakistani, Indian and Thai nationals for maximum period of (30) days, or according to hotel reservation.' Requirements: passport valid at least three months; confirmed round-trip ticket; 'Confirmed hotel reservation through the www.discoverqatar.qa site only. Hotel reservations from other sites are not accepted'; health insurance from an accredited company. So the stay is the shorter of 30 days or your Discover Qatar booking. No extension is mentioned on this page. Alternative: apply in advance for a Hayya e-visa (VisitQatar's wizard offers the Hayya route; Hayya e-visa fee QAR 100 non-refundable). Conflict noted: MOI requires passport validity of 3 months, but several travellers' governments (GOV.UK, Auswärtiges Amt, France, Canada, NZ) say 6 months; MOI is the controlling authority, documentsNeeded flags both. Health insurance: MOI lists 'Health insurance from an accredited insurance company' as a condition of every on-arrival category and its Entry Permits page says 'A valid health insurance policy from insurance companies registered with the Ministry of Public Health is required to enter Qatar', while GOV.UK and Auswärtiges Amt say it is compulsory for stays over 30 days (GOV.UK: standard premium QAR 50 per person per month). VisitQatar notes 'Visa-free entry is now the new term defining previously visa on arrival. Nothing changed except the name.' Entry is at the discretion of the border officer.
