Short answerIndian citizens need a visa to visit the United Arab Emirates. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

How long you can stay
Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • UAE entry permit/visa obtained in advance (via airline, hotel, tour operator, or an ICP/GDRFA-approved typing/service centre)
  • Return or onward travel ticket
  • Proof of accommodation
Good to know
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs' own visa-exemption list explicitly marks the Republic of India as requiring a visa (i.e. not on the visa-exempt list), unlike US/UK/EU/Australian/Canadian/Japanese/Korean/Singaporean passport holders who are visa-free. Ordinary Indian passport holders must therefore arrange a UAE tourist entry permit/e-visa in advance through an airline, hotel, tour operator, or authorized typing centre before travel; it is not a walk-up visa-on-arrival for the general case. Some third-party and travel-industry sources describe a conditional visa-on-arrival for Indian nationals who separately hold a valid, used US visa/green card or UK/Schengen visa or residency, but this agent could not confirm that specific carve-out against a primary UAE government source in this session, so it is not asserted here as fact.
