Short answerSpanish citizens can get a visa on arrival in Egypt. The official source doesn't state a fixed stay length. Check it before you travel.

How long you can stay
The official source doesn't state a fixed stay length. Check it before you travel.
What you need
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from arrival
  • Tourist visa bought on arrival at an Egyptian international airport (single entry US$30, cash), or an e-Visa obtained in advance at visa2egypt.gov.eg (printed)
  • Travel itinerary and hotel booking details
Good to know
The Egypt e-Visa Portal (Ministry of Interior, visa2egypt.gov.eg/eVisa/FAQ, checked 2026-10-02) lists Spain among nationalities eligible for an e-Visa (tourism: single entry US$30, multiple entries US$65; passport valid 6 months from arrival). On arrival: Spanish travel advice says the ordinary visa on arrival allows a 30-day stay with a single entry and costs US$30 or the euro equivalent (legal source). No fixed day count is published here: Egypt's own portal does not state the permitted stay, and EU governments describe it differently (30 days for NL/ES, 'one month' for FR, 28 days for IT, not stated by DE) — check the date on the visa you are given. Working, including journalism, is not allowed on a tourist visa.
