What you need

Good to know
Spanish citizens are on Viet Nam's unilateral visa-exemption list under Government Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP (7 March 2025): visa-free stays of up to 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, valid 15 March 2025 to 14 March 2028 (may be considered for extension). Confirmed on the Government portal and by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, and cross-checked against the Spanish foreign ministry's travel advice (checked 2 Oct 2026). The exemption cannot be extended in Viet Nam (French MFA); for longer stays apply for an e-visa (up to 90 days) before travel.
