DHA's Visa Exemption List shows "Spain (Kingdom of)" with 90 Days in the Ordinary passport column (checked 2026-10-02). South Africa's Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) launched 12 Aug 2026; per the Minister of Home Affairs' launch address (DHA, 12 Aug 2026), it "will progressively become compulsory for short stay visits from countries that require port-of-entry visas", while for visa-exempt travellers it is available "on a voluntary basis" (for the faster ETA queue, or to apply to extend a stay by up to 90 days). It is not required for visa-exempt nationals as of that address. Re-verify as the ETA rollout progresses.
