Good to know
Visa-free under the EU–Colombia short-stay visa waiver agreement (in force since December 2015): Art. 4(1) 'Citizens of the Union may stay in the territory of Colombia for a maximum period of 90 days in any 180-day period'; Art. 4(3) leaves Colombia free to extend beyond 90 days under national law. 'España' is also on Colombia's own visa-exempt list (Res. 5488 de 2022 Art. 3 lit. A). Modelled as the agreement's 90 days in any rolling 180-day window. Under Colombian national law a Tourism Permit is up to 90 days per entry and can be extended by a PTP 'prórroga' of up to 90 days, never beyond 180 days per calendar year; per Resolución 0599 de 2026 Art. 2 and Migración Colombia's PTP page, citizens of European Union countries are exempt from the COP 150,000 PTP fee ('UNIÓN EUROPEA - PTP - Prórroga COP 0'). Apply online at least 5 business days before the permit expires; grant is discretionary. Entry documents (Migración Colombia): valid passport, plus onward ticket and proof of funds 'según corresponda'. Check-Mig online pre-registration is free and not mandatory. Paid activities require a visa (the agreement excludes paid activity). Yellow-fever certificate needed if arriving from certain transmission-risk countries (gov.uk).
