Good to know
Argentina's immigration authority (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, DNM) lists no visa requirement for ordinary passports of this nationality in its 'Régimen de Visas' table (read 2026-10-09). Argentina's official tourist-entry page (argentina.gob.ar/migraciones/documentacion-para-ingresar-al-pais-como-turista) says tourists may stay 'hasta TRES (3) MESES PRORROGABLE POR OTRO PERÍODO SIMILAR' (up to 3 months, extendable once for a similar period) and may not do paid work; the Cancillería tourist-visa page and consulates express the tourist stay as 90 days, so it is modelled as 90 days per entry. Extension: request it from Migraciones before your permitted stay ends; no fee was stated on the pages read. Health insurance: Decreto 366/2025 (Boletín Oficial 29/05/2025) changed art. 34 of Migration Law 25.871 so that foreigners must present a sworn declaration of the purpose of entry and that they hold health insurance, but its new art. 123 bis says that declaration 'será exigible una vez reglamentada su implementación' (only enforceable once regulated); no implementing regulation was found as of 2026-10-09, so it is not listed as a required document. Outside emergencies, national public hospitals may charge foreigners without permanent residence (new art. 8), so insurance is strongly advisable. Cross-check: exteriores.gob.es travel advice (updated 12 May 2026): no visa under 90 days for tourism, extendable by 90 days; passport valid at least 3 months (Spanish DNI not accepted); return ticket, about USD 50/day of funds and health insurance covering up to USD 20,000 may be required. CONFLICT: Spain says a sworn declaration has applied since Decreto 366/25 took effect; the decree's own art. 123 bis makes it enforceable only once regulated, and no regulation was found — the decree text controls.
