Short answerDutch citizens can visit Vietnam without a visa. Up to 45 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 45 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond entry
  • Proof of onward/return travel (may be requested)
Good to know
Dutch citizens are visa-exempt under Government Resolution No. 229/NQ-CP (8 August 2025), Art. 1–2: up to 45 days from the date of entry, for tourism purposes, regardless of passport type, valid 15 August 2025 to 14 August 2028 under the tourism stimulus programme. Unlike the Resolution 44 countries, the exemption is tied to tourism — other purposes need a visa (Dutch government travel advice, checked 2 Oct 2026, says the same). For longer stays apply for an e-visa (up to 90 days) before travel.
