Short answerDutch citizens can visit Malaysia without a visa. Up to 90 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 90 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid for more than 6 months on arrival
  • Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), submitted online within 3 days before arrival
Good to know
The Embassy of Malaysia in The Hague lists the Netherlands as entering without a visa for 3 months; Malaysia's Immigration Department also lists the Netherlands among countries that need no visa for any purpose of entry. The length of stay is granted by the immigration officer at entry. East Malaysia controls its own entry: Sabah and Sarawak issue a separate entry permit (the French MFA says Sarawak grants 30 days on arrival; the German MFA says the separate permit is usually valid 90 days) — check before travelling there. Cross-checked against the Dutch foreign ministry's travel advice (checked 2 Oct 2026).
