How long you can stay
Up to 90 days per visit.
What you need

Good to know
The Embassy of Malaysia in Rome states Italian citizens do not need a visa for tourism and business up to 90 days. The length of stay is granted by the immigration officer at entry. East Malaysia controls its own entry: Sabah and Sarawak issue a separate entry permit (the French MFA says Sarawak grants 30 days on arrival; the German MFA says the separate permit is usually valid 90 days) — check before travelling there. Cross-checked against the Italian foreign ministry's travel advice (checked 2 Oct 2026).
