Good to know
Italy's Foreign Ministry: EU citizens need no entry visa; the limit for staying in Albania without a visa is 90 days within 6 months, and overstaying risks refusal of entry, expulsion with a re-entry ban, and a fine of about €700. Since 30 July 2026 Albania also accepts the temporary paper ID issued by Italian municipalities while a CIE is being produced. Holders of older renewed ID cards are advised to replace them before travelling.
