Short answerSouth Korean citizens can visit Malaysia without a visa. Up to 90 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 90 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid for more than 6 months (Malaysian Embassy Seoul lists 'Passport (valid more than six 6 months)' among its entry conditions)
  • Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), completed online before arrival (mandatory for foreign travellers since 1 December 2023)
  • Confirmed onward/return ticket (the Embassy's visa checklist asks for one)
Good to know
The Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul (MFA Malaysia) publishes an entry-requirement table with South Korea listed under 'Without Visa: 3 mths' — i.e. up to three months visa-free on arrival. The Immigration Department's visa-requirement list does not include South Korea. Work, study and other special-purpose stays need a visa in advance.
