Egypt entry requirements for Israeli citizens

Short answerIsraeli citizens need a visa to visit Egypt. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

How long you can stay
Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • Egyptian entry visa obtained in advance from an Egyptian embassy or consulate — Israel is not on the Egypt e-Visa Portal's list of eligible nationalities, and no e-Visa or visa-on-arrival option is published for Israeli passport holders
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival
Good to know
Israel does not appear on the Egypt e-Visa Portal's FAQ list of ~89 nationalities eligible to apply for an e-Visa (checked directly against the live list on visa2egypt.gov.eg/eVisa/FAQ); the same page states "a visa is required prior to entry into The Arab Republic of Egypt" for nationals not on that list, with no on-arrival or online option described for them. No terms (fee, validity, permitted stay) for the consular route were found on a primary Egyptian source in this pass — none are published here. Secondary/travel-industry sources widely describe a separate, Sinai-only 14-day visa-free entry stamp available to many nationalities (commonly including Israeli citizens) crossing at the Taba land border or arriving at Sharm El Sheikh, valid only for Sinai resort areas rather than all of Egypt — this was not confirmed against a primary Egyptian government source in this pass and is deliberately not encoded as a row here; see data/UNVERIFIED/TODO.md.

Is your passport valid long enough?

The rule: Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival

These dates stay in your browser. They aren't saved or sent anywhere. Six months from arrival, or after you leave? How the rules compare
