What you need

• Passport
• Calling Visa clearance/approval issued by the Directorate General of Immigration headquarters in Jakarta (obtained in advance, typically initiated by a sponsor/inviting party in Indonesia)
• Invitation or reference letter supporting the visit
• Visa application lodged at an Indonesian embassy/consulate after clearance is granted
• All Indonesia arrival declaration (allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id or the All Indonesia app), free, can be filled in from 3 days before arrival — mandatory for every passenger arriving from abroad since 1 October 2025

Good to know

Israel is explicitly listed by name on Indonesia's official 'Daftar Subjek Calling Visa' (Calling Visa subject list), alongside Afghanistan, North Korea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Somalia. Israeli passport holders are NOT eligible for Visa-on-Arrival or visa-free entry and cannot get a standard visa directly from an embassy; they require a 'Calling Visa' — a special advance security clearance issued by Ditjen Imigrasi headquarters in Jakarta before any Indonesian mission abroad can issue the visa. Indonesia and Israel do not have formal diplomatic relations, and in practice entry for Israeli citizens is rare and subject to case-by-case discretion; no fixed guaranteed stay length can be quoted from official sources.
