Short answerArgentine citizens need a visa to visit Egypt. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

How long you can stay
Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • Approved Egypt e-Visa, obtained in advance online via the Egypt e-Visa Portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) — single-entry USD 30 or multiple-entry USD 65
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival
  • Printed e-Visa to present to the immigration officer at the port of entry
  • Travel itinerary
  • Hotel booking / accommodation details for the stay
Good to know
Argentine passport holders are on the Egypt e-Visa Portal's own list of nationalities eligible to apply for an e-Visa (the FAQ page states "a visa is required prior to entry into The Arab Republic of Egypt" and that eligible nationals "may be issued with an e-Visa upon application on the Egypt e-Visa Portal" — this is legally a visa, issued entirely online without an embassy visit, not a lighter-weight travel authorisation, so it is modeled here as visa_required rather than eta_required). The e-Visa portal does not publish a specific permitted-stay length (number of days) anywhere in its publicly reachable FAQ, About, How-to-Apply, Disclaimer or Terms pages — the commonly repeated "30 days" figure on travel-blog and visa-agency sites was not confirmed against this or any other primary Egyptian government source in this pass, so no fixed maxDays is published (stayPolicy stays at visa_required / no computable duration) rather than guessed. The e-Visa is not available to holders of Diplomatic, Service, Special, Official, Temporary, Nansen, Refugee, Mission, Alien's, or July-51-Agreement passports — those travelers must apply at an Egyptian embassy or consulate instead.

Is your passport valid long enough?

The rule: Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival

These dates stay in your browser. They aren't saved or sent anywhere. Six months from arrival, or after you leave? How the rules compare
