Short answerChinese citizens can get a visa on arrival in Rwanda. Up to 30 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 30 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid at least 6 months
  • Return/onward ticket
  • Visa-on-arrival fee (Chinese ordinary passport holders are not in the AU/Commonwealth/La Francophonie or EAC fee-waived categories)
Good to know
Since 1 January 2018, Rwanda grants visa on arrival to nationals of all countries at Kigali International Airport and all land borders. Citizens of African Union, Commonwealth and La Francophonie member states get the visa-on-arrival fee waived for a 30-day visit; Chinese nationals do not fall into those waived categories, so the standard visa-on-arrival fee applies for the standard 30-day tourist stay.
