Short answerChinese citizens need a visa to visit Cyprus. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

How long you can stay
Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • A Cyprus short-stay (Category C) visa, applied for before travel at a Cyprus diplomatic mission — applications can be submitted at least 15 days before the intended date of travel
  • Passport valid at least 3 months beyond your intended departure from Cyprus, with at least two blank pages, issued within the previous 10 years
  • Proof of sufficient financial resources for the stay and the return journey
Good to know
Cyprus lists this nationality among those that must hold a visa (Annex 1, Part A, linked from gov.cy Visas). Exception: holders of a valid double- or multiple-entry Schengen visa, or of a national visa or residence permit issued by a Schengen state, do not need a separate Cyprus short-stay visa for stays not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period (Cyprus MFA; gov.cy Visas — this does not apply to Turkish or Azerbaijani citizens). A Cyprus visa is valid only for Cyprus, not the Schengen Area. Cyprus is an EU member but not yet part of the Schengen Area: days spent in Cyprus are not counted toward the Schengen 90/180 rule (European Commission short-stay calculator manual), and are counted separately for Cyprus.

Is your passport valid long enough?
