Good to know
Auswärtiges Amt (Türkei: Reise- und Sicherheitshinweise, Stand 05.10.2026): German nationals need no visa for entry and stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. The former practice of starting a new 90-day stay after a one-day exit is no longer possible. Türkiye's MFA page says only 'up to 90 days' for Germany, so the 180-day window comes from Germany's own foreign ministry. Per the same page, entry is also possible on a document that expired no more than one year ago (except an expired provisional ID card).
