Can you bring tobacco or cigarettes to Singapore?

Short answer
Allowed, must be declared

  • Tobacco

    allowed, must be declared

There is NO duty-free concession or GST import relief for cigarettes or tobacco products, in any quantity.

All tobacco products, regardless of quantity, must be declared via the Red Channel, with both customs duty and GST paid before clearance. Uncustomed tobacco (packs without the Singapore duty-paid marking) found in a traveller's possession beyond what was declared can be seized, with fines under the Customs Act / Tobacco Control Act.

Also covers: tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, rolling tobacco
