Can you bring tobacco or cigarettes to Macao?
Short answer
Allowed, within limits
Tobacco
allowed, within limitsEach day a person may bring in, for their own use and without declaring, 19 cigarettes, or 1 cigar, or 25 g of tobacco, with a total weight of no more than 25 g (the list adds that "the weight of piece must not exceed 3 grams"). Tobacco above that is dutiable and must be declared to Customs on arrival.
The Government Information Bureau announced this lower allowance (19 cigarettes, 1 cigar or 25 g of other tobacco) in a Chief Executive despatch effective 14 July 2015. Failing to declare, or a false declaration, can lead to prosecution and confiscation.
