  Import and export of drugs including morphine, heroin, opium and cannabis is strictly prohibited. Under the Customs Act 1967 and the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 the penalty for drug trafficking is a mandatory death penalty. There is no recreational or medical-cannabis exception for travellers on this page; prescription drugs may only be imported under Ministry of Health licences/permits.
