Overstaying in Slovakia: fine, entry ban and enforcement
This is what Slovakia's own national law adds on top of the EU-wide entry-ban mechanism — every Schengen country runs that same baseline process, explained on the general overstay-penalties page, but the fine amount and exact enforcement style are set by each country individually.

Entry ban
Entry bans under Act No. 404/2011 Z.z. § 82(3) tier as 1 year, 1–3 years, 1–5 years, or 10 years depending on the grounds for expulsion; § 82(7) states that when multiple grounds apply, the strictest tier governs. Which tier applies to a straightforward first-time tourist overstay specifically was not confirmed against the statute's exact criteria.
How it's enforced in practice
The tier structure and section numbers are corroborated across multiple independent Slovak legal-text sources, including the Slovak Supreme Administrative Court's own case law — but a direct read of the Ministry of Interior's own PDF of the act (linked from minv.sk) failed on both attempts (reported as compressed/undecodable), so the tier-to-scenario mapping remains the main open question here.
