Can you bring medication to Cyprus?
Short answer
Depends on specifics
Controlled medication
depends on specificsVisitors can bring small quantities of internationally controlled medicines (narcotics or psychotropics) for their own treatment only with a permit issued by Cyprus's Pharmaceutical Services (Ministry of Health). The application asks for your passport number, arrival and departure dates, and each drug's name, form, strength, daily dose and prescribed quantity, and must include a copy of your prescription showing the doctor's name, address, phone/fax and licence number. Without a permit, Customs treats narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and other controlled pharmaceuticals as prohibited imports.
Apply to Pharmaceutical Services before you travel (phscentral@phs.moh.gov.cy). The Application Form for Import for Personal Use is linked from the source page.
Also covers: controlled substance, narcotic medication, psychotropic medication, adderall, amphetamine, vyvanse, ritalin, methylphenidate, stimulant medication, codeine, tramadol, oxycodone, morphine, opioid painkiller
