Can you bring meat or dairy products to Thailand?
Short answer
Allowed, within limits
Meat & dairy
allowed, within limitsPersonal-use import allowance: milk/dairy products (ready-to-drink milk, powdered milk, ice cream, cheese, whey protein, yogurt, pudding) up to 2.5 kg/L; meat, processed meat, and animal products (sausages, ham, smoked meat, dried pork, smoked salmon) up to 5 kg. All food items combined must not exceed 10 kg/L, and none of the items may have been imported by the same traveler within the prior 3 months.
This FDA personal-consumption allowance covers processed/shelf-stable meat and dairy. Fresh/uncooked meat and dairy are separately regulated by the Department of Livestock Development, which requires an import permit and (for meat) an export health certificate from the country of origin — not realistically obtainable by an individual tourist, so treat fresh/raw meat and dairy as effectively off-limits even though this row's quantity limits are for the processed-goods case.
Also covers: meat, dairy, cheese, milk, ham, sausage, smoked salmon
