Can you bring cash to Serbia?
Short answer
Allowed, must be declared
Cash
allowed, must be declaredQuoted directly from Customs: "You may bring into Serbia as much money as you wish, but if it is EUR 10.000 or more (in dinars or other foreign currency) your obligation is to DECLARE it to Customs, the same as you would do when entering/leaving EU." On departure, all passengers may take out up to EUR 10,000 freely; Serbian residents may not exceed that without evidence of prior import/withdrawal, and non-residents may exceed it only with specific receipts (a customs cash-declaration form from entry, a Serbian bank withdrawal receipt, or an exchange-office receipt for RSD obtained via card use in Serbia).
Applies per person, including children (Customs FAQ: "It applies to each person, children included"). Get and keep the Cash Declaration Form at entry if you're carrying a large sum you might need to take back out — without it, an amount over EUR 10,000 on departure risks seizure. Payment cards can be brought in/out freely with no limit.
Also covers: cash, currency, money, euros, dinars
