Short answerMexican citizens need a visa to visit Thailand. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • Passport valid for at least six months on entry into Thailand
  • Thai visa for the purpose of the trip, applied for through the e-Visa system at thaievisa.go.th
  • Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), completed within the 3 days before arrival at tdac.immigration.go.th
Good to know
Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City (Visa page, updated 2 Oct 2026): from 15 September 2026, Mexican ordinary-passport holders must obtain a Thai visa to enter Thailand, whatever the purpose of the trip, because the 60-day visa-exemption scheme was cancelled (Ministry of Interior notifications published 31 August 2026). All visa applications go through the e-Visa system. The immigration officer sets the permitted stay on arrival; for a tourist visa it is generally 60 days per entry, extendable by up to 30 days at a Thai Immigration Bureau office. Officers may ask for proof of accommodation, onward travel, or funds of at least THB 20,000 per person.
