Short answerCanadian citizens can get a visa on arrival in Cambodia. Up to 30 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 30 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond date of entry
  • Tourist visa (on arrival or e-Visa)
  • Cambodia e-Arrival forms (immigration, customs and health) within 7 days of arrival
Good to know
Government of Canada travel advice (last updated 26 May 2026): 'Tourist visa: required.' 'Tourist and business visas allow entry to Cambodia for 30 days only, counting from the date of entry.' 'You can get a tourist or business visa on arrival at international airports and major land border crossings. Photos are not required when applying for a visa on arrival.' Card payment is possible but bring cash in case systems are down. Visas 'must be renewed for stays over 30 days and may only be extended once.' Overstay: daily fine with no limit; over 30 days you must leave. Unregistered foreigners (FPCS accommodation registration) may be denied an extension. Alternative to the visa on arrival: the official Cambodia e-Visa (evisa.gov.kh, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Visa T (tourist) costs USD 30, single entry, valid 3 months from issue (that is the window to enter, not the stay), length of stay 1 month, processed in 3 business days; requires passport valid more than six months at entry, a digital photo and a Visa/MasterCard. e-Visa is accepted only at Techo International (Phnom Penh), Siem Reap Angkor and Sihanoukville airports and the Bavet and Trapeang Kriel land borders; Cham Yeam and Poipet are listed as temporarily closed to e-Visa entry. Beware of unofficial lookalike e-visa websites. Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) card: the official e-Arrival site (arrival.gov.kh, General Department of Immigration) says 'All travelers are required to fill in the Cambodia e-Arrival even if they have been granted VISA' and that it can be submitted 'within 7 days prior to your arrival'; submission is free. It also replaces the paper customs and health declarations. (The GDI homepage wording is 'within 7 days before or on arrival'.) Arriving visitors receive a 'v-Pass' by email instead of an ink entry stamp.

Is your passport valid long enough?

The rule: Passport valid at least 6 months beyond date of entry
