Can you bring cash to Zimbabwe?

Short answer
Allowed, declaration may be required

  • Cash

    allowed, declaration may be required

Declare cash or travellers cheques worth US$10,000 or more. It is illegal to leave Zimbabwe with cash worth more than US$2,000.

ZIMRA (Zimbabwe's revenue authority) says importing cash isn't restricted and asks for a declaration on Form 47, but gives no threshold on a page we could read; the US$10,000 and US$2,000 figures come from the UK government's travel advice.

Also covers: cash, currency, money, foreign currency declaration, us dollars
