- Controlled medication: depends on specifics — Medications containing psychotropic substances (Schedule II, III, or IV) may be carried for personal use up to a 30-day supply with a doctor's certificate/prescription, no advance permit needed. For a 31–90 day supply, travelers must obtain an FDA permit (Form IC-2) at least 15 days before traveling. Medications containing narcotic drugs (Schedule II or III) require an FDA Narcotics Division license before importing, for up to a 90-day supply. - Injectable medication: allowed, within limits — Insulin and GLP-1 medicines (semaglutide, tirzepatide) are non-narcotic, non-psychotropic medicines under the Thai FDA's general personal-use rule: they may be carried in the amount necessary for personal use, up to a 30-day supply.
