Can you bring a weapon to the Bahamas?

  You may not bring firearms (or fireworks) without special authorization from the Commissioner of Police. Underwater guns of any kind except a Hawaiian sling are prohibited outright.

  Bahamas Customs 'Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports': restricted goods include 'Firearms, fireworks, unless special authorization by the Commissioner of Police'. The prohibited list includes 'Underwater gun being any manufacture or device other than the device known as a Hawaiian Sling whereby a missile may be discharged under water', so spearguns are banned. Cross-check: Auswärtiges Amt says import of weapons, including starter/blank pistols and diving and boat signal (flare) pistols, 'ist nur mit besonderer Einfuhrgenehmigung erlaubt' (only allowed with a special import permit). Check every bag for stray ammunition before you travel.
