Can you bring meat or dairy products to the Dominican Republic?

Short answer
Allowed, declaration may be required

  • Meat & dairy

    allowed, declaration may be required

All food must be declared on the customs form (E-Ticket). Animal products are subject to agricultural/animal-health rules and may be inspected or seized.

We could not find an official passenger list of which meat/dairy items are banned; the animal-health authority (Dirección General de Ganadería) did not publish one we could reach. Declare and expect possible confiscation.

Also covers: meat, dairy, cheese, milk, sausage, salami, ham, jerky, eggs, animal products, food
