Can you bring alcohol to Israel?

Short answer
Allowed, within limits

  • Alcohol

    allowed, within limits

Duty-free in the green channel: 1 litre of alcohol, liquor or spirits plus 2 litres of wine, for each entrant aged at least 18.

Israel Tax Authority, green channel list: 'Alcohol, liquor, spirits and wine - 1 liter of alcohol, liquor and spirits, and 2 liters of wine - for each entrant aged at least 18'. Going through the green channel counts as declaring that you carry only permitted items in permitted quantities; anything more must go through the red channel and is taxed. The guide also allows alcoholic perfumes up to 1/4 litre (250 ml) per entrant. If unsure, use the red channel. Non-exempt items not declared in the red channel may be charged double taxes.

Also covers: alcohol, wine, beer, spirits, liquor, whisky, vodka, duty free alcohol
