K-ETA: official website, fee and validity

The Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) is an online travel authorisation for visiting South Korea, issued by the Republic of Korea Ministry of Justice. Apply only on the official website below.

Official website (Republic of Korea Ministry of Justice) →
Fee
KRW 10,000 per person (about US$7–8), plus an online payment fee of about 3%.
How long it lasts
3 years, or until your passport expires if that is sooner.
Processing time
Usually 72 hours or less, but it can take longer. There is no expedited service.
When to apply
You need approval before you board the flight or ship.
How long you can stay
K-ETA doesn't set your stay: the visa-free period for your nationality applies.

Use the official website. Korea hasn't delegated K-ETA applications to any agency. Apply only at www.k-eta.go.kr or in the K-ETA app.

Temporary exemption: the passports that are currently exempt from K-ETA stay exempt until 31 December 2026 (Korean time). The K-ETA site doesn't publish that list as text; our South Korea entry page shows the rule for your passport.
