Short answerChilean citizens need a visa to visit Saudi Arabia. Your visa sets how long you can stay.

How long you can stay
Your visa sets how long you can stay.
What you need
  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond stay)
  • Visa application lodged in person or via the Saudi Embassy/Consulate (regular visa, not eVisa)
  • Supporting documents as required by the embassy (proof of accommodation, sufficient funds, itinerary, passport photos)
Good to know
Chile is NOT on Saudi Arabia's official eVisa-eligible country list; the official Saudi eVisa portal directs applicants from non-listed countries to the nearest Saudi Arabia Embassy/Consulate for a regular (non-electronic) visa. Alternate route regardless of nationality: travelers who hold a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa that has already been used at least once to enter the issuing country/area, OR who are legal residents of the EU, UK, or US, can obtain a Saudi visa on arrival without pre-applying for the eVisa — even though this nationality is not on Saudi Arabia's standard eVisa-eligible list. This on-arrival visa is generally valid 1 year for multiple entries with stays of up to 90 days per visit. To use this route without also qualifying for the standard eVisa, travel must be on a Saudi national carrier (Saudia, flynas, or flyadeal); passport must be valid 6+ months. This is a visa-on-arrival mechanism (reopened by Saudi authorities in March 2022 and still active as of mid-2025), distinct from the pre-approved eVisa — verify current documentary requirements and any insurance/fee conditions at the airport or via visa.visitsaudi.com before travel, as the official portal could not be directly re-confirmed by this research pass (blocked automated access; this note rests on convergent secondary corroboration of a named Saudi Press Agency announcement, not a directly re-read primary text).
