Short answerSingaporean citizens can get a visa on arrival in the Maldives. Up to 30 days per visit.

How long you can stay
Up to 30 days per visit.
What you need
  • Passport with a machine-readable zone; UK FCDO advises it must expire at least one month after arrival (an older Maldives consulate page says six months — carrying six months is the safe choice)
  • Return or onward ticket out of the Maldives
  • Confirmed resort/hotel booking, or enough funds to cover the stay (the Maldives consulate page cites US$100 plus US$50 per day)
  • IMUGA Traveller Declaration, submitted free of charge within 96 hours before your flight arrives (imuga.immigration.gov.mv)
Good to know
A free 30-day tourist visa is issued on arrival to bona-fide visitors of all nationalities except Israeli passport holders, who are barred from entry. The full 30 days is at the immigration officer's discretion, not a right; working on a tourist visa is prohibited and can lead to removal. An older Maldives consulate page describes extensions of up to a further 60 days for a fee (verify current terms with Maldives Immigration). Only use the official IMUGA portal for the declaration — it is free.
