Can you bring Wegovy to Mexico?

Short answer
Allowed, within limits

The official rule for Mexico below names Wegovy. The same rule also covers the other medicines it lists, so read the conditions carefully.

  • Injectable medication

    allowed, within limits

ANAM's personal-baggage rule explicitly permits travelers to carry 'a device for measuring blood pressure and one for measuring glucose or a combined device, and their reagents, as well as medications for personal use' without describing this as needing a special permit. Insulin and GLP-1 medications (semaglutide/Ozempic/Wegovy, tirzepatide/Mounjaro/Zepbound) are not psychotropic substances, so ANAM's prescription-only requirement (which applies specifically to 'sustancias psicotrópicas') does not apply to them; they fall under this general personal-use medication allowance instead.

ANAM's page does not separately name insulin or GLP-1 drugs, does not mention injector pens or needles/syringes as a distinct category, gives no numeric day-supply cap, and says nothing about refrigeration or cold-chain handling. The glucose-meter allowance strongly implies diabetes supplies are contemplated by this rule, but a sharps/needle-specific declaration requirement could not be confirmed. Carry the medication in original packaging with your prescription or a doctor's letter, and declare injector pens/needles if asked.

Also covers: ozempic, wegovy, mounjaro, zepbound, semaglutide, tirzepatide, insulin, needles, syringes, injection pen, glp-1
