Can you bring oxycodone to Israel?
Short answer
Allowed, within limits
The official rule for Israel below names oxycodone. The same rule also covers the other medicines it lists, so read the conditions carefully.
Controlled medication
allowed, within limitsMedicines with substances listed in the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance may be brought into Israel in amounts for up to 31 days. You must carry a photocopy of a valid prescription, the medicine in its original package, and a 'permit to carry a controlled substance' issued by the health authority of your country of residence.
Israel Ministry of Health: 'Substances specified in the Controlled Substances Ordinance may be brought into Israel in amounts sufficient for 31 days. To comply with the Ordinance, travelers must carry the following: 1. A photocopy of a valid prescription, 2. Medicine in its original package, 3. "A permit to carry a controlled substance" issued by the competent health authority in the country of residence.' The Hebrew version (updated 30.08.2026) says the same: 31 days, with the same three documents. Israel's INCB country form (dated 04.12.2023) matches: 31 days each for narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, a valid prescription, a doctor's certificate endorsed by the home health authority, the original container, and a traveller's certificate for narcotic/psychotropic medicines endorsed by the home health authorities. Contact: Ministry of Health Pharmaceutical Division, rok.import@moh.gov.il / PERMITS@MOH.GOV.IL, tel. 08-6241010. The drugs named here (opioids, methylphenidate, benzodiazepines) come from the page's UNODC table of controlled substances. That table is advice for Israelis travelling abroad, not an Israeli import limit; the Israeli limit is the 31-day rule. The page does not say how amphetamine-based ADHD medicines such as Adderall are treated on entry, so check with the Ministry of Health. Cannabis is not covered here (see unverified).
Also covers: controlled medication, narcotics, psychotropic, opioids, oxycodone, morphine, codeine, fentanyl, methadone, methylphenidate, benzodiazepines, diazepam, lorazepam, adhd medication
