Can you bring Ozempic to the Dominican Republic?
Short answer
Allowed, within limits
The official rule for the Dominican Republic below names Ozempic. The same rule also covers the other medicines it lists, so read the conditions carefully.
Injectable medication
allowed, within limitsCovered by the general personal-medication rule: allowed for personal use in quantities consistent with your stay and dosage.
Dominican Customs has no injectable-specific rule; its general rule applies: 'Los medicamentos de uso personal están permitidos' and 'deben ser de uso personal de conformidad con la estadía y dosis' (DGA Manual del Viajero, FAQ 4 and PDF manual). Insulin and GLP-1 pens (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) are not controlled/psychotropic substances, so the prescription requirement for psychotropics does not expressly apply — but carrying the prescription is sensible. Customs does not mention syringes, needles or cooling packs specifically. Medicines are among items 'sujetas a regulaciones por el Ministerio de Salud Pública' that the page says need a declaration.
Also covers: injectable medication, insulin, insulin pen, ozempic, wegovy, mounjaro, glp-1, semaglutide, tirzepatide, epipen, syringes
