Can you bring Mounjaro to Chile?
Short answer
Allowed, within limits
The official rule for Chile below names Mounjaro. The same rule also covers the other medicines it lists, so read the conditions carefully.
Injectable medication
allowed, within limitsPrescription injectables follow the general personal-use rule: quantity consistent with a dated (≤6 months), doctor-signed prescription showing dose and duration, in original packaging.
ISP's traveller guide (5 June 2025) applies one rule to all personal-use prescription medicines, so insulin and GLP-1 pens (e.g. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) are covered as prescription medicines: carry the prescription/medical certificate with daily dose and duration (ideally translated into Spanish), dated within 6 months and doctor-signed; quantity consistent with the treatment (reference: up to 6 months); original packaging. No source read addresses needles/syringes, sharps or cold-chain packaging specifically, and none names these brands — the names are listed only because they are prescription medicines within the general rule.
Doctor's letter checklist
Only what Chile's rule asks the letter or prescription to include. Tick each one off with your doctor.
